IT & SECURITY Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT and Security Engineer to join our
team. The IT and Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and
integrity of our organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and data.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in both IT and
cybersecurity, with expertise in implementing and maintaining security controls and
practices.
The IT and Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and
mitigate security risks, respond to incidents, and implement security best practices.

Responsibilities
● Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure
the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
● Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities,
recommend and implement appropriate security controls and countermeasures.
● Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential
security incidents or breaches.

● Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion
detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanning
tools.
● Perform system and network hardening activities to protect against unauthorized
access and other security threats.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain
secure network architectures, including VPNs and secure remote access
solutions.
● Conduct security awareness training and education programs for employees to
promote a culture of security.
● Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best
practices, and proactively recommend and implement security enhancements.
● Assist in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business
continuity plans.
● Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding security-related
issues.
● Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment,
and resolution of security incidents.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related
field.
● Proven experience as an IT and Security Engineer or a similar role.
● Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networking concepts.
● Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,
VPN, etc.).
● Proficient in system administration, including Windows and Linux operating
systems.
● In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
● Experience with security technologies and tools such as firewalls, intrusion
detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and vulnerability scanning tools.
● Familiarity with industry security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001,
NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
● Experience in conducting security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and
penetration testing.
● Knowledge of secure network architectures, VPNs, and secure remote access
solutions.
● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
