Strategic Negotiation Advisor

Position Overview:

We seek a Strategic Negotiation Advisor with a robust Legal background to join our dynamic team. This role is critical for:

• Negotiating contracts with customers: Engage directly with customers to negotiate terms, ensuring suitable contractual implantation of the deal structure.
• Drafting suitable contracts: Create contracts tailored to the company’s products and services that support achieving business objectives.

Department: The deal Desk department acts as a bridge between Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Operations to facilitate efficient and profitable deal-making while managing potential risks and maintaining compliance and overseeing the deals to meet the financial and profitability target.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer-Facing Negotiations: Interface with customers to negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring clarity and mutual agreement.
• Contract Drafting: Draft and review contracts to ensure they are aligned with company policies and legal standards.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential risks, including those related to contracts, commercial offers, financial exposure, information security (infosec), and compliance.
• Commercial and Legal Negotiations: Understand and balance the commercial and legal aspects during negotiations to support the company’s revenue and profitability goals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Finance, and Compliance, to ensure contract terms meet all organizational requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, or a related field.
• Legal Expertise: Strong background in law, particularly in contract negotiation and drafting.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to understand and influence commercial aspects of deals, ensuring they align with business objectives.
• Risk Management: Experience in identifying and mitigating legal and financial risks.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interactions.
• Industry Experience: Preferred background in banking, VC, M&A, or the financial sector.
